MY EXPERIENCE

We are extremely proud to represent Kampur Travel Diaries. Interacting with this qualitative boutique DMC in Kenya is a deeply enriching experience. After months of virtual training we finally had the privileged of meeting them personally and travelling with Purvi to explore Kenya through her eyes and learn about their buiness and values.

During our familiarization trip, we explored Nairobi, Lake Nakuru, and the legendary Maasai Mara; encountered the Big Five; enjoyed outstanding lounges; dined in exceptional restaurants; and immersed ourselves in the profound cultural traditions of the Maasai community.

November welcomed us with pleasant, mild weather—ideal for safaris and outdoor activities.

WILDLIFE

Kenya’s wildlife is one of the most spectacular natural shows on Earth. Beyond the Big Five, travelers may encounter cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species.

Sightings are exceptionally frequent in most parks—especially in the Maasai Mara and its conservancies, where animals roam freely and observations take place peacefully and respectfully. Lake Nakuru

Just a few hours from Nairobi, Lake Nakuru is a sanctuary for rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and extraordinary birdlife. Its boutique lodges offer tranquility, comfort, and stunning views.

Amboseli

Renowned for its giant elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers iconic safari scenery and constant wildlife encounters.

Amboseli is known for its herds of elephants with the beautiful silhouette of Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world, in the background. The park is made up of  diverse habitats from swamps, the desert of a dried lake bed, savannah and woodlands.

Laikipia

A region of private conservancies offering privacy, exclusive activities, and rare wildlife sightings. Perfect for travelers seeking authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences.

Nestled in the majestic shadow of Mount Kenya, Laikipia is a captivating region in central Kenya that promises an unparalleled African adventure. This sprawling wilderness spans over 9,500 square kilometres, offering an array of ecosystems from grassy plains to acacia-dotted landscapes, and riverine forests.

It has amazing and very successful examples of working ranches and community run conservancies working together to allow free passage of wildlife.

Samburu

A visit to Samburu, a pristine wilderness in Northern Kenya, is a journey into the heart of Africa’s untamed beauty. This arid landscape, framed by rugged mountains and the Ewaso Ng’iro River.  In addition to being a great place to ‘spot’ the cats, it hosts an array of unique wildlife, including the “Samburu Special Five” – the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and Gerenuk.

Maasai Mara

The iconic heart of African safaris and home of the Great Migration. Its conservancies ensure more exclusive safari opportunities, fewer vehicles, and access to remote, pristine areas.
